Favorite Place to Order Tickets:
We have ordered from them every time we go to Orlando. Andrew owns Ticketmania and we have used them for over 10 years. He is reliable, great prices and a good person. He will make sure the transaction will go smoothy.
Favorite Car Rental Company: Thrifty After you get your luggage, go down one level, hop on a shuttle and they will take you to the rental office. Get a Blue Chip membership so you do not have to wait in line, plus you earn free car rental days. Cars are new and clean and very easy drop-off at the end of the trip. Wonderful service. If you have a family you will want an off site car rental place. The on-site rentals is like following a maze to get to your car.
Favorite Travel Site: www.tripadvisor.com, this site is great for any travel destination. You can compare multiple travel websites for the same hotel, flight, etc, simultaneously. There are also forums that you can post questions. Keep in mind, just like this website, this website is full of personal opinion. This is not an easy site to use. It will take some practice.
Favorite Disney Character Meal: Chef Mickey (It is a Buffet at the Contemporary, so you do not waste any time of you park admission). It's a good thing to pair with another activity.
Favorite Dinner Theater Show: Arabian Nights (In Kissimmee)
Favorite Dinner Theater Food: Medieval Times (In Kissimmee)
Best Overall Dinning Experience: Dinner with Shamu at Sea World • If you do this, please know that it is a buffet. You do not want to spend all your time getting food, so load up your plate first, so you can enjoy the surroundings. It is a wonderful experience. People are always surprised about this one.
Favorite Zoo: Brevard Zoo (Just Minutes Away from Kennedy Space Center)
Favorite Show: La Nouba (in Downtown Disney)
Favorite Science Center: Orlando Science Center (Awesome Dinosaur Exhibit-It use to be at Dino USA at Animal Kingdom)
Favorite Rainy Day Spot: Playmobil Fun “Park” in Florida Mall near Dillards
Favorite Amusement Park for Children Under 3: • Magic Kingdom • Animal Kingdom • EPCOT • Sea World
Favorite Amusement Park for 4-6 years old: • Magic Kingdom • Animal Kingdom • EPCOT • Sea World • Islands of Adventure • Busch Gardens
Favorite Amusement Park for 7+: • All the park should be fine. • Some of the rides at Universal can be a bit much for young children, such as the Spiderman ride at Islands of Adventure. It was worth the wait though.
Favorite Place to Eat the Day Away: EPCOT
Favorite Miniature Golf: Pirates Cove in Lake Buena Vista
Favorite Grocery Store: Publix - They have great sandwiches and wraps too.
Special Note: If we are planning a full day at the parks, we will usually eat at a full service restaurant. It typically is 10-20% more in price plus your family gets free refill on drinks, all the water you can drink, interesting décor, usually an activity for your child and better menu choices. It makes for a nice day and gives everyone a chance to recharge. The only exception is The Sharks Underwater Grill at Sea World. It was a wonderful meal and we were taken back by the sharks swimming only feet away, but it was priced higher than other full service restaurants. We have, on occasion, ordered an appetizer in lieu of a main dish because we like the surroundings.
