First: All three of our kids prior to age 4 were scared to death of the Characters and did not want
anything to do with them and screamed anytime one tried to visit. There are many fun things to do
here for small children, seeking out the Characters should not be on the list.

Second: If you have young children DO NOT GO FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!!!! It will be
crowded. The reason for this is because, most parents want to pack the day with excitement. Trust
me you won't miss any of the excitement by arriving a few hours late. Also, the smaller children will
get "wiped out" early. Thus, by arriving later, you avoid the long lines on the kiddie rides and they
will be awake for the parade. The parade is so much fun to see. The only time to go against this
information is if you are traveling the week between Christmas and the month of July. If you are
traveling during these times. Get there at least 1/2 hour prior to the gates opening, as there have
been times, they have stopped entry due to the number of guests in the park. Although it is rare,
you do not want to be the one explaining to your child why he can't ride Dumbo.

During the parades and later in the afternoon is the best time to go on Stitch's Great Escape, Buzz
Lightyear, Space Mountain, Pirates of Caribean
, Haunted House, Thunder Mountain, Peter
Pan
and It's a Small World which typically has the longest lines. There is a lot of walking from one
place to the next.

If you have older children, go to the park for the first 2 hours, then use your hopper to go to another
park and return late afternoon. We typically pair Animal Kingdom with Magic Kingdom unless it is
Peak or Holiday Season.

The one thing that always amuses me is the crowd on Main Street for the parade and people sitting
for hours waiting. If you just cross the bridge and head to Frontier Land you will see the parade
wonderfully. We've always been able to find a spot along the route to let the kids sit and watch the
parade in Frontier Land.

This does not hold true for the fireworks. Although you can see the fireworks anywhere in the park.
The best viewing is on Main Street Facing Cinderella Castle.

Want something different for your teenager. Try a tour. There are many to choose from, be warned
they are long 2-7 hours and there is a fee PLUS park admission in some cases. I would skip
Mickey's Magical Milestones Tour unless you're a HUGE Mickey Mouse Fan.

If you have young children, under 8, try the Disney's Magical Family Tour. Five was the perfect age.
We had 3 families and we all went on it together. It is pricey, but the kids had a ball. But it is geared
towards younger children. Quick overview.... Peter Pan has hidden Captain Hook's hook and you
have to find it. It's a scaled down treasure hunt, with the climax being in a roped off area with Wendy
and Peter for just your group. They then spend the remainder of the tour with the group. There is a
limit of 20 people per group, so book early.

For the girl's don't miss Story Time with Belle. It's quick and cute.
For the boy's don't miss
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
Family Favorite
Thunder Mountain.
Silly Fun the
Jungle Cruise.
PARKING/Transportation
Parking is $12
You should note that once you pay for parking at one park, you can park free at any of the parks for
the rest of the day.
You just show them your pass.
