DW Pool Homes
Before we get into the details of what Walt Disney World has to offer, I can't express this enough.

As soon as you have your dates call WDW Reservations at  (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) to
schedule any reservation for a Character Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner or tickets to
La Nouba (if you
have never been to a Cirque du Soliel show, this one will get your hooked).
All these items book
quickly, so the earlier you plan, the better.
Do not give up hope, if you did not get the one you
wanted, keep calling as people will make cancellations. Reservations may be made up to 90 days in
advance. If you are looking for a popular event such as the "Princess Tea Party", call immediately
and state the event, days, number of children and number of adults. You can chit-chat with the
reservations department afterwards.  This is especially true for Peak Times.

Scott of
PS Calculator has a great tool to help with your planning when to book you dinning
reservations.

TICKETS
To "Hopper" or Not to "Hopper"... Water Park Plus Features, No Expiration, Etc.

Disney has now made it a lot easier to get exactly what you want from your park experience, but be
prepared to pay for it. The trick to save money on tickets is not to purchase more than you need.

If you know you will be returning to Walt Disney World at some point in your lives, I recommend that
you get the 7 or 10 day pass with "Hopper" and Plus Features AND NO EXPIRATION! The  prices just
go UP and UP and UP. Buy Now to Save Later! Or the other option is to Plan, Plan and Plan. You can
use our sample Itineraries as a guide and Buy exactly what you need.

Let's take each item individually.....
Hopper- If you are planning to be at Walt Disney World more than 3 days or you are planning
a whirlwind tour and cram every waking moment with Disney. This would be worth the money.
We tend to hop due to the fact that the parks close at different times. So to extend your day,
start at a park that is closing early and "hop" to a park that is open later.

Water Park Plus Features - I would plan everything else that you really want to do first, then
see if there is room for the plus features. We like the plus feature for the water parks during the
    summer.

No Expiration - If you are planning on saving the remainder of your tickets for a later date, you
    MUST pay for the upgrade.

Special Notes: As Ebay is a wonderful way to purchase other items for your Disney Vacation, I
do not recommend purchasing tickets. For the following reasons:

    1. In most cases the tickets are non-transferable (if they have been partially used).

    2. Disney is now using Biometrics (Finger/Hand Scan) to match the guest with their ticket.
Sidenote: Children do not get scanned only Adults.

    3. Most of the Auction prices are higher than the cost of the ticket, even through WDW website
    (which offers online discounts).

    4. Some auctions require you to attend a Timeshare Sales Presentation. I can tell you for a fact
it does not last 1-2 hours. You will be there all day. You are paying a lot of money to be in
Orlando, don't waste a day in a pressure cooker. Some people swear by saving money by
attending a timeshare presentations, and others like myself would rather spend the time at the
    parks.
PARKING/Transportation
Parking is $12

You should note that once you pay for parking at one park, you can park free at any of the parks for
the rest of the day. You just show them your pass.

Going  to Magic Kingdom you might want to consider to park at EPCOT Center and take the monorail
to Magic Kingdom. It will take you about the same amount of time, but it is easier to get in and out.

Disney has Buses to all locations, Monorail to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center and a few resorts, and
the boats that travel from Magic Kingdom to the Resorts that surround the lake.
What is a FAST PASS?
When you go to a popular ride, you have two choices. 1- Get in line and wait or 2- Get a Fast Pass
and come back at a predetermined time.

Each ride has a sign stating how many minutes from a certain point it take to get on the ride. These
times are updated continously through out the day and are accurate within a few minute. If the ride
states it will take over 20 minutes or more  to ride, I would get a Fast Pass.

To get a Fast Pass.
1.Find the Fast Pass Kiosk near the entrance to the ride.
2.Insert your admission ticket into the marked slot.
3.Out pops a piece of paper with a specific time range to return.
4.Get in the Fast Pass Line upon returning.

The Fast Pass line typically takes about 1/3 of the time as the regular line. We have always treated
our Fast Pass times like gold. This last trip to Disney, we discover on separate occasions, that as
longs as your time has passed, they will let you in the Fast Pass Line. For example. We had a Fast
Pass for 4:20-5:20 for Soar'in at EPCOT. Due to a lost doll, we didn't get there until almost 6:00 and
they let us right in without any effort or explanation.

Not all rides have this feature, just the rides that are popular. Also, you have to wait an hour from the
time you get a Fast Pass until you can get another Fast Pass.

My fantastic husband on our last day at Magic Kingdom, spend his time running from attraction to
attraction so we could fit all the kids favorite rides that day. He had it down to a science.

The Photo Pass is a great way for both the families to remember to get those special Disney Photos,
plus it make things easier on Disney. You need access to the Internet to view the photos from home.
Or you can view the photos as you leave the park.

The neat thing is that you can add borders, words and more to each photo, to personalize it just for
you.

All the photos are digital, printed then mailed directly to your home.

Sometimes there are sales, such as I just received notice that I could get 20% off.
